Senior Scrum Master (March 2016 to current)
- Full time scrum master for 2 product delivery teams (NTT’s Cloud Control UI and Common Services - a rest API / microservice based managed services platform, providing core services for the NTT TPS Managed Services Platform). Both products involved working with geographically dispersed teams.
- Facilitated all Scrum ceremonies for the teams (sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives)
- During my second year at Dimension Data, the company’s Group Services adopted SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) to help facilitate the transition of the company to a managed services provider. This necessitated well over 20 international teams to work together in 3 Agile Release Trains.
- Prepared the teams for SAFe PI planning, ensuring feature backlog readiness and story refinement to a level necessary for planning
- Facilitated the unblocking of impediments

- Used Jira and Confluence to plan iterations, and share progress with stakeholders

- Scrum Master for the Daily Liquidity Coverage Ratio (DLCR) program. The DLCR program delivered regulatory reporting (the LCR report) on a daily basis to meet APRA requirements. The program consisted of multiple delivery teams.
- Responsible for the full scrum cycle for a team of 6 developers and 4 testers, from product backlog management, sprint planning, sprint management with daily stand-ups, sprint review and retrospectives.

- Supported 2 teams of developers as Scrum Master, involved in a number of time critical projects (including an MRP system supporting the international commercial vehicles division of Daimler, a logistics planning system, and production line monitoring system)
- Coached the teams in Agile practices, driving significant improvements in productivity and transparency in the division.
- Developed and implemented the concept of a Portfolio Management kanban planning board based on Kanban and ITIL principles, delivering both transparency and the ability to plan effectively as an IT organization. It is used in weekly management meetings to oversee the status of current projects, and to identify potential bottlenecks in delivery. Provides transparency on the incoming pipeline as well.

- Co-developed multiple .Net / SQL applications including a product planning system and a vehicle production monitoring system which resulted in R10 million savings over 7 years, an authorization management system which is still in use today, a logistics planning system and a supplier scorecard.
